Baker Hughes Has Options After Failed Halliburton Deal

Halliburton Co. and Baker Hughes Inc. have slumped since they proposed a $35 billion merger in November 2014, shaken by the drop in oil prices and the long, ultimately fruitless, effort to win regulatory approval for the tie-up. The two companies said Sunday that they had called off the merger, with Halliburton paying a $3.5 billion breakup fee.
