- Panicker will join Centrica's LNG trading desk on Tuesday
- His former colleague Montilla starts at Noble next week
Rajiv Panicker, a former trader on Glencore Plc’s liquefied natural gas trading desk, will join Centrica Plc next week, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said.
Panicker will join the U.K.’s biggest retail energy supplier on Tuesday, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.
Panicker didn’t reply to an e-mail seeking comment.
A former colleague of Panicker at Glencore, Lou Montilla, will join Noble Group in London on Monday. They previously bought and sold the fuel at Morgan Stanley & Co. before helping the Baar, Switzerland-based commodity trader to enter the market in 2013. After they left, they were replaced by two former Noble traders.
Centrica’s energy marketing and trading business, which operates in the U.K. and European energy markets, is diversifying its gas supplies “and an area of focus for the business in recent years has been to grow our presence in LNG imports,” according to the company’s website.
