Three People Injured After Terrorists Attack Kenyan Police Camp

More than 100 terrorists attacked a police camp in northern Kenya on Sunday, leaving three police officials injured.

The terrorists staged the early morning attack on Diff Police Camp in Wajr, 494 kilometers (307 miles) north of Nairobi, Kenyan police said. The terrorists were not immediately identified by the police.

“The officers put up a stiff resistance till about 5:00 a.m. when they were outflanked and the terrorists managed to sneak into the camp,” the National Police Service said in a statement on its Twitter account .

Kenyan military and police are in pursuit of the attackers who took off with a police vehicle that may have crossed the Kenya-Somali border, according to the statement.
