The riskiest type of bank debt is back in favor with investors after a selloff that wiped out a year’s worth of gains. European regulators have helped stoke the rebound by suggesting that holders of so-called additional Tier 1 notes should have greater protection against losses. UBS Group AG took advantage of the renewed appetite to sell $1.5 billion of the notes on Monday, the first sale in Europe for two months.
