The Stoxx Europe 600 Index just completed an almost 12 percent rebound from its two-year low in February. In the gauge’s history, gains of 10 percent or more in a similar period were followed by advances in five of the seven instances they happened, with median three-month increases of 9.9 percent. But investors who held on for a full year ended up suffering losses more than half of the time.
