- Company expects to ship up to 1.35 gigawatts of panels
- Revenue in the fourth quarter may reach $673.5 million
JA Solar Holdings Co., a Chinese panel maker, said shipments in the fourth quarter will be higher than expected.
Shipments are expected to be between 1.32 gigawatts and 1.35 gigawatts, the Shanghai-based company said in a statement Thursday. That exceeds a November forecast of 1.1 gigawatts to 1.2 gigawatts. Nearly all shipments went to external customers.
JA Solar now expects fourth-quarter revenue of between 4.4 billion yuan ($673.5 million) and 4.6 billion yuan. The company expects gross margin to be 16.4 percent to 17.4 percent.
The company plans to release its fourth-quarter results on March 15.
