Cabela’s Inc., a retailer catering to hunters and outdoors enthusiasts, has seen its fortunes move in tandem with speculation about gun laws. When there’s concern that the federal government will rein in firearms, customers stream into stores to stock up on weapons. But when gun-control efforts fail, Cabela’s sales can drop back down -- as the company saw two years ago. This election year has the retailer scratching its head about what may happen. Chief Executive Officer Thomas Millner said on Thursday that Cabela’s will wait until the summer to figure out how much gun inventory it might need.
