Man Group Plc, the world’s largest publicly traded hedge fund, said it hired Guillermo Osses as head of emerging-market debt strategies, based in New York.

Osses, who formerly helped oversee more than $20 billion at HSBC Asset Management, has joined the GLG unit of Man Group, which uses fundamental analysis to bet across asset classes, the London-based company said in a statement Monday. He will report to Man GLG’s co-chief executive officer Teun Johnston.

Man Group managed $76.8 billion in assets at the end of September 2015.
