Two gunmen were killed by security forces after they attacked an air force base in North India, police said. One air force personnel died in the incident.

At least five gunmen entered the air force station at Pathankot in northern Indian state of Punjab at about 3 a.m., Ashwani Kumar, superintendent of Punjab police, said by phone.
