A 1962 Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato fetched $14.3 million, including fees, at Sotheby’s on Thursday, an auction record for the model and for any British car.
The vehicle was part of a special auction, “Driven by Disruption," put on in New York by the firm’s RM Sotheby’s unit, starring 31 top rare cars.
Estimated at $15 million to $17 million, the Aston Martin is one of 19 such cars made, according to RM Sotheby’s. The auction continues.
