South Africa’s NPA Issues Pistorius Arrest Warrant, ENCA Reports

South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority issued an arrest warrant for Paralympic gold medalist Oscar Pistorius, ENCA reported, citing spokesman Luvuyo Mfaku.

The prosecutor only plans to enforce it next week, when Pistorius is expected to apply for bail, the Johannesburg-based news agency said.

South Africa’s Appeals Court on Thursday overturned the original ruling of culpable homicide for Pistorius, who killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day two years ago. The court instead found the athlete guilty of murder.
