Emerging Market Stocks Pare Declines After ECB Rate Decision

Emerging-market stocks trimmed declines after the European Central Bank cut its deposit rate and investors awaited details of the decision from Mario Draghi.

The MSCI Emerging Markets Index less than 0.1 percent after falling 0.5 percent.

A gauge of 20 developing-nation currencies rebounded as central European exchange rates gained against the dollar. The euro advanced against the greenback after the ECB cut the deposit rate to minus 0.3 percent, disappointing some market predictions of a deeper reduction.
