Zimbabwe’s police and the national parks organization said they have arrested five people in connection with the poisoning of 14 elephants in Hwange National Park with cyanide.

Separately three staff from the park were arrested for stealing ivory, which was later recovered at the airport in the capital, Harare, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management said in an e-mailed statement.
