Nomura Holdings Inc. hired Macquarie Bank Ltd. analyst Benjie Creelan-Sandford to cover southern European banks for its equity research team, a person with knowledge of the appointment said.
Creelan-Sandford joins the bank following the departure of Nomura analysts Daragh Quinn, who joined Keefe, Bruyette & Woods earlier this month, and Jaime Hernandez, who has been appointed head of investor relations at Spain’s Unicaja Banco SA, spokesmen for KBW and Unicaja said.
Creelan-Sandford couldn’t immediately be reached.
At Macquarie, Creelan-Sandford covered Spanish, Portuguese and Italian lenders, including Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA, Banco Santander SA, UniCredit SpA.
