Le Foll: Talks Failure Would Mean More Job Cuts at Air France

Air France may be forced to cut even more jobs if talks between management and unions fail, government spokesman and Agriculture Minister Stephane Le Foll said in Paris Wednesday.

Those who attacked the carrier’s Human Resources head Xavier Broseta Monday, following a meeting between management and worker representatives, are not representative of union members or Air France staff, Le Foll said after the weekly cabinet meeting.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said earlier he’ll stand by Air France in its bid to cut costs as Finance Minister Michel Sapin urged workers to accept plans to boost productivity as an alternative to job cuts.
