A bomb went off at a cricket match in the
Paktika province of Afghanistan Sunday, killing nine and
injuring 33, the Interior Ministry said.
The incident took place in the Khairkot district at 6:20
p.m. local time, the ministry said in its statement.
Taliban guerillas weren’t involved in the attack, spokesman
Zabihullah Mujahed said via an e-mail statement.
