BNP Paribas SA hired Paul Crawford to trade sterling-denominated corporate bonds.

Crawford is based in London and reports to Jonathan Lett, head of investment-grade credit trading for Europe, according to BNP Paribas spokesman Andrew Achimu. Crawford was previously a credit trader at Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, the firm he left in June after nine years, according to the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority register.

The appointment is the latest in a string of hires in the U.K. corporate bond market this year, with Bank of America Corp., Credit Agricole SA and Credit Suisse Group AG all adding staff. Credit Suisse hired BNP Paribas corporate trader Sean Richards in May, people familiar with the matter said at the time.
