Bank of Montreal hired Geoff Roberts to head U.S. acquisitions and divestitures for its global energy group.
Roberts will be based in Houston and report to Jon Marinelli, U.S. global energy group head, Toronto-based BMO Capital Markets said Wednesday in a statement. He’ll work with energy bankers, as well as acquisition and divestiture teams in London and Calgary.
“Geoff brings tremendous industry experience to this crucial role in our U.S. oil and gas practice,” Shane Fildes, head of global energy, said in the statement.
A petroleum engineer, Roberts has worked for firms including Randall & Dewey, Madison Energy Advisors and the Oil & Gas Clearinghouse, according to the statement. Most recently, he ran his own advisory-services firm.
