Robeco NV’s Chief Executive Officer Roderick Munsters plans to step down as head of the Rotterdam-based asset manager once a replacement has been found.
“Two years after the acquisition by our new shareholder, Robeco is in good shape with a solid financial performance and a strong long-term strategy,” Munsters said Tuesday in a statement. ”This is therefore a natural moment for me to hand over my responsibilities to new leadership.”
Robeco is owned by Orix Corp., a Japanese financial firm that bought control of what was then Rabobank Groep’s asset-management unit for 1.94 billion euros ($2.17 billion) in 2013.
A successor for Munsters wasn’t announced. Robeco has assets under management of 273 billion euros.
