Bill O’Donnell, head of U.S. government-bond strategy at RBS Securities Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut, has left the bank.
O’Donnell, who headed the group since 2009, confirmed the departure. He declined to say where he’s heading. O’Donnell’s team at RBS was ranked third by Institutional Investor magazine in the U.S. governments strategy category this year.
Sarah Lukashok, a spokeswoman at RBS, declined to comment.
Before joining RBS for a second stint six years ago, O’Donnell worked at UBS AG where he spent five years as head of the interest-rates strategy group.
Prior to UBS, O’Donnell worked for 20 years at Greenwich Capital Markets, which was later acquired by RBS. O’Donnell is a 1978 graduate of Colby College.
