KCG Holdings Inc., an automated trading firm and brokerage, has hired a competitor’s chief technology officer.
Josh Schubkegel is joining from brokerage Redi Global Technologies LLC, said KCG spokeswoman Sophie Sohn, who declined to comment further. Schubkegel will serve as a senior technology executive at KCG, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified.
Mark Dowd from Redi declined to comment on the departure, but said the company expects to appoint a new CTO in the coming weeks.
Schubkegel had worked at Redi, which Goldman Sachs Group Inc. spun off two years ago, since 2012, according to his LinkedIn profile. Previously, he worked at Bridgewater Associates LP and UBS Group AG.
