Dassault Systemes Chief Executive Bernard Charles said the software company should easily meet its goal of doubling sales before the end of the decade as it expands into new fields through acquisitions.
“We’re very well placed to meet that target,” Charles said in an interview in Paris. “The acquisitions we are making aren’t about purchasing clients but adding technologies that are critical for the future.”
Dassault Systemes aims to double sales by the end of 2019 as it expands its services into areas ranging from city planning to assisting heart surgery. The company Thursday lifted its forecast for earnings-per-share growth to 18 percent this year from between 15 percent and 17 percent previously.
Charles said he sees little impact from a slowing Chinese economy as Asian sales growth is still above 20 percent.
