Credit Suisse Hires JPMorgan’s McNeill for Derivatives

Credit Suisse Group AG hired Daniel McNeill of JPMorgan Chase & Co. to lead its equity-derivatives unit for the Americas, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

McNeill will replace James Masserio, a veteran of the Zurich-based lender, who will move into a to-be-determined role at the bank, according to one of the people, who asked not to be named because the information isn’t public. McNeill’s position will encompass all of the bank’s equity-derivatives business for the Americas, including structured products.

He had been at JPMorgan since at least 2007, according to records maintained by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. McNeill was most recently head of volatility trading in the Americas.

Nicole Sharp, a spokeswoman at Credit Suisse, declined to comment. McNeill and Masserio both declined to comment.

StructuredRetailProducts.com, a website owned by Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc, reported the hire earlier.
