Scotiabank Hires TD’s Osborne as Chief Currencies Strategist

Bank of Nova Scotia, Canada’s third-largest lender, hired Shaun Osborne from Toronto-Dominion Bank as chief foreign-exchange strategist.

Osborne, who oversees currency strategy for Toronto-Dominion, will start Sept. 8 and lead the team that provides clients trade ideas and hedging strategies, Toronto-based Scotiabank said Friday in an internal memo.

He’ll report to Camilla Sutton, head of global foreign exchange at Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets unit, the firm said.
