Cohen’s Point72 Hires Nadeem Walji as Macro Money Manager

Point72 Asset Management, the investment firm that manages the wealth of billionaire trader Steven A. Cohen, hired Nadeem Walji as a macroeconomic money manager.

Walji will work in the New York office of Point72, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News. He previously worked at Soros Fund Management, Duquesne Capital Management and ran his own hedge fund, the firm said in the memo.

Mark Herr, a spokesman for Stamford, Connecticut-based Point72, confirmed the memo’s contents and declined to comment further.
