Euro Share of FX Reserves Dips to Lowest Since 2002: IMF Data

The euro’s share of global official foreign-exchange reserves declined in the first quarter to the lowest level since 2002, data released by the IMF Tuesday showed.

The euro’s share of disclosed currency holdings fell to 20.7 percent from 22.1 percent in the previous three months, the fifth straight quarterly decline, according to the International Monetary Fund’s quarterly statement on the currency composition of official foreign exchange reserves.
