Hats Were Huge at Milan Fashion Week

Eight styles to try before they become a thing next spring

We aren’t even halfway through the summer, and next year's style is already being determined. That's what Men's Fashion Month in Europe is all about, after all: Designers showcase collections six months out to buyers and editors. As the world turns, we'll all be wearing them come spring and summer 2016.

Trends to note include an emphasis on color, patterns, prints (Neil Barrett's modern camouflage was a crowd-pleaser), and even grooming (beards are out, it seems). Fast-fashion chain stores such as Zara and H&M pay especially close attention, garnering "inspiration" from the runways of Milan, Paris, and London. What you see now, you'll soon find in stores worldwide. And what you'll find are hats.

Here are eight styles worth noting—or trying now to be ahead of the curve.
