CME’s Endangered Trading Pits Get a Reprieve of Four Days

CME Group Inc.’s plan to close most of its trading pits in Chicago and New York has been delayed.

Originally scheduled to shutter them on July 2, CME said Tuesday that it would postpone that until July 6. The exchange operator also said the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, its main U.S. regulator, could request an additional 90-day delay.
