Kenya’s Samburu, Turkana Communities Sign Cease-Fire Accord

Two communities in northern Kenya, where companies including Tullow Oil Plc are searching for crude, agreed to end fighting over resources that has left hundreds of people dead, the government said.

The Turkana and Samburu communities signed a cease-fire accord Monday at Nanyuki, about 150 kilometers (93 miles) north of the capital, Nairobi, the state-run National Cohesion and Integration Commission said in an e-mailed statement.
