Yen Falls: Kuroda Says Comment Not About Nominal Rate

The yen fell after Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said his comment last week on the currency’s weakness was not about the nominal exchange rate.

Japan’s currency slid as much as 0.3 percent to 123.80 per dollar, before reaching 123.69 as of 10:47 a.m. in Tokyo.
