Serena Williams Beats Bacsinszky to Reach French Open Final

Top-seeded Serena Williams came back to win her French Open semifinal with Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland, and will meet Lucie Safarova for the title.

Williams won 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Bacsinszky took the opening set by hitting 16 winners to 8 by Williams at Roland Garros in Paris. Williams, who seemed to be unwell, used 6 aces in the second set to tie the match, and then cruised in the final set.

In the other semifinal, Safarova rallied back from 5-2 down in the opening set to beat former champion Ana Ivanovic and move to her first French Open final.
