Namibia Loses 103 Rhinos to Poachers Since 2005, Ministry Says

Namibia lost 95 black rhinos and 8 white rhinos to poaching since 2005, according to the southern African nation’s environment and tourism ministry.

During the last 10 years, a further 294 black rhinos and 16 of the white variety died of natural causes, the ministry said in an e-mailed report. Namibia lost 24 rhinos and 78 elephant to poaching last year alone, it said.
