Djokovic Leads Nadal by Two Sets in French Open Quarterfinal

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic took the first two sets of his French Open quarterfinal with Rafael Nadal.

The Serb is up 7-5, 6-3 against the Spaniard in a replay of last year’s final won by Nadal.

Djokovic, who won the Australian Open earlier this year and Wimbledon in 2014, is seeking the last major he has yet to win. Playing on his 29th birthday in Paris Wednesday, Nadal is trying for a record-extending 10th French Open title. The men have 22 majors between them.

Andy Murray of Britain won the first set of his quarterfinal against Spain’s David Ferrer.
