FIFA said countries in the Asian confederation won’t be able to bid for the 2026 World Cup in line with the soccer ruling body’s policy of choosing a host outside the previous edition’s region.

Russia will host the 2018 tournament and Qatar in 2022. Swiss authorities are investigating the process that lead to those selections.

The allocation of the 32 World Cup slots among the six regional confederations will remain the same, FIFA President Sepp Blatter said after a meeting of the executive committee Saturday in Zurich.

The Indonesian Football Association was suspended until it complies with regulations. It will be allowed to continue in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.
