Second ‘Avengers’ Movie Leads China’s Box Office for Second Week

Avengers: Age of Ultron” topped China’s box office for the second week in a row, earning $54 million from May 18 to 24.

Marvel Studios’ latest superhero flick accounted for 75 percent of the top 10 grossing films’ receipts last week, according to data provided by EntGroup Inc. Released on May 12, the movie is now the fourth highest grossing movie in Chinese box office history with $209.4 million receipts as of May 24.

“P.K.” ranked second with $5.1 million and “Love Without Distance” took the third position with $3.55 million.
