Tunisian Soldier Opens Fire in Military Barrack, Killing 7

A Tunisian soldier opened fire in a military barrack in the capital, Tunis, killing seven people and wounding 10 others before he was shot dead, army said.

The soldier stabbed an army official at the entrance of the barrack, took his weapon and carried out the attack, defense ministry spokesman Belhassen Oueslati said in a press conference in Tunis.

Tunisian security forces have clashed repeatedly with militants. In March, gunmen attacked the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, killing 22 people, most of them European tourists.
