Manufacturing PMIs for May are out, and the United States, despite declining to lowest since January 2014 today, is still some way ahead of the rest of the world. This continues a trend that has been in place since the spring of last year.

A reading above 50 points to an expansion in manufacturing. The United States is the only major economy that has not fallen below that point in the past three years.
