Gamesa Supplying 100 Megawatts of Turbines to Hebei Construction

Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA, Spain’s largest turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 100 megawatts of capacity to Hebei Construction & Investment Group Co. for a wind farm in China.

Gamesa will begin delivering and installing the 50 2-megawatt turbines in the third quarter, the Zamudio, Spain-based manufacturer said Wednesday in a statement on its website. The Fengdianzhiqing project in Zhangjiakou is expected to begin generating power the following quarter.

Gamesa has won orders from Hebei Construction totaling 250 megawatts since 2008, and has installed more than 3.6 gigawatts of wind-power equipment in China, according to the statement.
