JinkoSolar Holding Co., a Chinese module maker, agreed to supply 1 gigawatt of panels to China Minsheng Investment Corp.’s clean-energy unit through 2016.
JinkoSolar will deliver at least 600 megawatts of equipment this year to China Minsheng New Energy, the Shangrao, China-based manufacturer said Wednesday in a statement. Terms weren’t disclosed.
China Minsheng intends to invest 200 billion yuan ($32.2 billion) in about 20 gigawatts of renewable-energy projects over the next five years, according to the statement.
Solar installations in China, the world’s largest market, may surpass 15 gigawatts this year and approach 18 gigawatts next year, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
