Insight Investment Management Ltd. said it has hired Pritesh Solanki as an analyst at its secured-finance unit in London.

Solanki joined this week and reports to Shaheer Guirguis, head of the unit, Insight spokeswoman Amanda Williams said. The London-based firm, which is owned by Bank of New York Mellon Corp., manages 362.5 billion pounds ($552 billion) of assets, including 72.7 billion pounds of fixed-income securities, Williams said.

Solanki previously worked in the European asset-backed securities business of New York-based MKP Capital Management LLC. He joined the U.S. hedge fund in September 2013 after working for the asset-management unit of HSBC Holdings Plc, according to his registration with the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority.
