Tottenham will travel to the U.S. to take on Major League Soccer’s team in the annual All-Star match.
The July 29 game between the top MLS players and the English Premier League club will be held July 29 at Dick’s Sporting Good Park in Commerce City, Colorado, home of the Rapids MLS team, the league said in a news release.
MLS has used several different formats for the All-Star Game since its first one in 1996. It’s hosted an international club each season since 2005.
Tottenham will become the 10th different opponent for the All-Star squad. Last year the MLS team beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Portland and the league is 7-3-1 overall in international competition, having played some clubs more than once.
DeAndre Yedlin, a 2014 MLS All-Star defender, left the Seattle Sounders after the 2014 season to sign with Tottenham, which is seventh in the Premier League so far this season.
