Credit Agricole Hires Mohit Kumar as Head of Rates Strategy

Credit Agricole SA’s corporate and investment banking unit hired Mohit Kumar, a former money manager at GLG Partners, as its head of interest-rates strategy, the company said on Tuesday.

“We can confirm that Mohit Kumar has joined Credit Agricole CIB,” Virginie Ourceyre, a spokeswoman for the French bank said in an e-mailed response to questions. “He will directly manage the development of interest-rate research products for the Global Markets Research team.”

Kumar, who joined last week and is based in London, reports to Jean-Francois Paren, head of global markets research, Ourceyre said.

Prior to his role at GLG, a hedge-fund unit of Man Group Plc, Kumar worked for Deutsche Bank AG, where he was responsible for market strategy and trade recommendations for Western European sovereign markets, including the U.K.
