Citigroup Execution Head Rideout Said to Join HKEx

Updated on

Kevin Rideout, the head of wholesale execution services for Asia at Citigroup Inc., will join Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. next week, according to two people familiar with the move.

Rideout will take charge of business development at the city’s bourse. He joined Citigroup in London in 2006 and led the bank’s execution services from Hong Kong from 2011. He worked for Thomson Reuters Corp. for a decade before joining Citigroup.

Hong Kong Exchanges spokesman Scott Sapp declined to comment, as did Citigroup spokesman Godwin Chellam.

Rideout will join the bourse at a time when it has regained its rank as the world’s biggest exchange by market value following two days of record trading turnover.

Tae Yoo is currently the acting head of business development at HKEx, according to its website.
