Aug. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd., a unit of India’s biggest industrial group, won an order to supply panels for a 20-megawatt photovoltaic project in the country.
Acme Solar Energy Pvt., partly owned by Electricite de France SA’s renewable unit, is buying the equipment for a plant to be built in Rajasthan state, according to an e-mailed statement today from Tata Solar.
Acme won a license to build the plant in a government auction in February that required some projects to be built using locally made equipment. The statement didn’t provide a value for the deal.
