Aug. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Sumitomo Corp. won a contract to add two geothermal generation units at a power station in Indonesia for PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy.
The Tokyo-based company and Indonesia’s PT Rekayasa Industri will be in charge of engineering, procurement and construction at the Ulubelu Geothermal Power Station, Sumitomo said in a statement today.
Fuji Electric Co. will supply steam turbines and power generators, and construction will be completed by May 2017, Sumitomo said.
The two units will double the station’s capacity to 220 megawatts. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
