Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- UniCredit SpA’s Jean Pierre Mustier, a 26-year veteran of the European securities industry, is stepping down as head of the bank’s corporate and investment bank on Jan. 1 to pursue a role outside the company.
UniCredit’s Gianni Franco Papa will succeed Mustier, who is also deputy general manager of the firm, UniCredit said in a stock-exchange statement today. Mustier will join the bank’s international advisory board in a non-executive role.
Mustier joined Milan-based UniCredit in 2011 after working at Societe Generale SA, where he ran the first equity derivatives trading business after he joined in 1987.
