Aug. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The Asian Development Bank, Japan’s Orix Corp., and the Netherlands’s Robeco Institutional Asset Management BV will set up a private-equity venture in Asia to fund projects aimed at mitigating climate change in the region.
Asia Climate Partners will be capitalized with an initial $400 million from its founders, according to a statement posted on the website of Orix, a Tokyo-based finance and leasing company, today.
The fund will be based in Hong Kong and invest in renewable energy, water, and other climate-related businesses, according to the statement.
