Aug. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co. will provide a 1 billion yen ($9.7 million) loan for a solar power station in Fukushima prefecture in the north of Japan.
The Tokyo-based life insurer will finance the 8-megawatt station developed by Mori Trust Co., Dai-ichi Life said in a statement today.
The plant will be set up at the same site where Mori has built a 2-megawatt station, according to the statement.
