July 30 (Bloomberg) -- Israel will halt its attacks in certain parts of Gaza to allow for a four-hour humanitarian pause.

“The humanitarian window will not apply to the areas in which IDF soldiers are currently operating,” the Israel Defense Forces said in an e-mailed statement.

The partial cease-fire will go into effect at 3 p.m. local time.

Forces will “respond to any attempt to exploit this window to harm Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers,” the military said in the statement.
