July 28 (Bloomberg) -- First Solar Inc., the largest U.S. solar-panel manufacturer, agreed to supply 100 megawatts of modules annually to XSOL Co. for projects in Japan, according to a statement today.
The agreement will boost First Solar’s efforts to enter the Japanese market, which may become the world’s largest this year after China, James Evans, a Bloomberg Intelligence analyst in London, said in a note today. Terms weren’t provided.
First Solar, based in Tempe, Arizona, rose 2.3 percent to $66.53 at the close in New York.
